The Golden Age of Parenting
Earlier this year a coworker and I were discussing our children. She smiled and made the comment that I was in, what she liked to call, The Golden Age of Parenting. It is that brief time in life where the kids are old enough to govern themselves, feed/bathe/entertain themselves for periods of time, yet still unable to drive and are safe within the confines of the parental home.
This time is about over for me.
The Deerslayer recently turned a whopping fifteen years old and driving is looming in the near future.
Thank goodness his uncle wanted to sell his truck.....and luckily to us.
We surprised The Deerslayer with it this afternoon.
It was seriously a surprise, but he didn't seem to have any trouble adapting.
He promptly hopped into the driver's seat and parked it in the garage.
Pray for me y'all.....
